I'll see what happens but now my wife has to go to a family funeral in the NW on Friday and she was going to look after the children. I think I'm cursed with getting to Nebo whatever I plan it always seems to go wrong.

Have you not thought about flying Lawrence, London to either Newcastle or Teesside and probably about the same price as a train ticket nowadays

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

Looks like it's about £200 each return and with 2 kids to bring it's not really feasible! Plus you have to get to Heathrow which is a trek.

Sad as it is common sense must prevail and hopefully you can make it next time Lawrence. I have no love of the Eurovision song contest but i really do feel angry that the rail strike is effecting thousands of people who have spent time and money planning a trip there.

Well finally after 4 months in the repair shop it looks like i'll be getting my Primaluna Evo400i back just in time for NEBO, it went in at the beginning of January as after a few minutes of being turned on i'd get a bad valve light, always the same one, i'd bought new valves and swapped valves around but nothing worked so in it went. Unfortunately the amp was just out of warranty but after a few emails back and forth to Herman in the Netherlands He has sent over replacement parts FOC, the shop I took the amp to are just testing it for a few days to make sure everything is ok so i'll keep my fingers crossed.
