Default FS Audio Note AN J/LX with stands

    For sale:
Bit unexpected this. Audio note J/ LX in a lovely detailed finish as per photos, latest spec, boxed.
    Also original Audionote stands.
    Sound as you'd expect...lovely.
I cant advertise them as 100% mint as I noticed when you sit them next to each other, the real veneer has obviously faded at slightly different rates. Its not noticeable when set up but i want to be 100% honest. There is also the very slightest mark on the bottom left corner of one. I've been using them a while and only noticed it when taking photos.
Bought from a fellow forum member who knew I was after a pair and I'd pestered him.
A really nice pair of Impulse H2s have come my way and whilst they do not look anywhere near as nice as the ANs, I'm quite smitten with how they sound..my missus isn't as enthusiastic as me mind 😀

Seems these fetch around £2500+ depending on finish in the current market.
    I'm asking what i paid, £2200 collected.

I can dem but they won't be set up to hear them at the best because moving the Impulses is a nightmare.
Photos probably won't work but let's give it a go.....

Tried fixing this for you but cannot as I think the URLs i.e. "https://images2.imgbox.com/71/ca/8gOGABAb_o.jpg" are direct links to display within Imagebox, this is blocked by my content blocker as seen as advertising. You need the explicit URL to user Forum display. I don't use Imagebox so cannot point you in the right direction.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

You still box swapping! What would you say the difference is between these the Impulse? I considered the H2s myself.

    Hi Mike,

Hope your keeping well and enjoying your system more?

H2’s might work quite well for you on several counts, not fussy about positioning and very easy to drive so should be good with your AN 500. I used to have a pair and if it was not for the Wilson Benesch Vectors I would consider hunting out another good pair, oh I’ve just remembered my friend still has a pair that he needs to sell.

    Cheers

    Adrian

Cheers Adrian, I still have the same issue with my system, great with jazz, not so good with the rougher sounding music I so love! Wonder how H2's would handle the Stones or Kinks?

Yeah, still enjoying messing about Mike. The Impulses and ANs are chalk and cheese to be honest. H2s are about dynamics and scale, the ANs are more integrated and transparent. H2s are great fun though.
