Well you always seem to be smiling in photos, but I'd assumed it was just wind.Absolutely it's arguable, but there's plenty of evidence around showing that a will to live or not give up hope of survival in adversity, after people in such situations have pulled through against all the odds, to suggest that there's something in it.
That doesn't make it a fact, of course, but it's certainly better to have a positive mental attitude than a negative one!
Personally, I don't associate with negative-minded, depressing people, as it drags me down from my usual cheery self, so tend to avoid them like the plague, and surround myself with folk who are naturally predisposed to smiling more than frowning, even when life isn't great.
