Looks like you have to put:

    spotify:user:YourUserName

into the search box to locate people, or to use Facebook.

Users may have to enable their playlists in their Profile - which of course they can find by the same process as above.

It's a case of RTFM - if you can find it.

    See https://www.spotify.com/uk/help/faq/...my-people-list and look for

How do I import my Facebook friends? and

Why don't I have any friends in my People list?

AFAIK all my playlists on Spotify are public.

Just tried to update one of my playlists, and move some pieces from one to another. The original tracks are no longer available. Does this happen often?

Is it due to licensing arrangements, or if a CD goes out of print?

I know that some tracks/albums are not on due to the artists or the recording companies, but I'd have thought if they put them up in the first place they'd want to leave them there.

    Pity!

    For info - http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/thereport...lease_pay.html

Spotify has announced new services which are cheaper than Premium. May suit some people.

Wouldnt use it on my mobile as I dont have unlimited internet and the battery on the HTC is pretty bad as it is

    Seems reasonable.

I wonder if a lighter alternative for mobile users would be sky songs - http://songs.sky.com/ I'm sure I saw a page which indicated that uses 48 kbps AAC encoding, which will sound pretty rubbish over good equipment, but for mobile users who want to economise on download/streaming might do the trick. Prices are comparable - around £5.
