Not for the first time on AoS, I feel like I've wandered into Mumsnet by mistake.

Anyway, hoovers. Can't remember how many, or which ones we've had. I have vague recollections of a cream-coloured Electrolux that didn't last long. We've had a Sebo Felix for about ten years.

Actually we had a Vax. The motor failed; we had a new motor fitted, and then that failed too. As W C Fields said: 'If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Then give up. No sense being a damn fool about it'.

Totally unrelated to vacuum cleaners. If you like nice places, check out Hambleton, on Rutland Water, near Peterborough. What a beautiful setting, I'd love to live there.
