Oh I do! I have far too many amps myself, despite recently selling off an EAR834P, a very nice Antique Sound Labs EL84 integrated, a Croft preamp, a Denon PMA-2020AE, a Duncan design massive Mosfet, and an early T-amp design, I still have far too many units.

I am about to shed another batch so watch this space!

Aside from a few in the repair cupboard, I still have:

    a) Art Audio (EL34 Triode) Power Amp
    b) Odyssey Audio (modified and upgraded for Maggies)
    c) Nuprime STA-9 (pair in monoblock mode)
    d) Sonic Unity (original Tripath amp)
    e) Audiosector Patek v2 (Gainclone power amp)
    d) Nuforce DDA-100 (entirely digital power amp)
    e) Nuforce Icon (Digital Integrated)
    f) Mo-gu 50w bluetooth amp
    g) Denon D-M39DAB receiver

    some have got to go!

Yes, I forgot my cupboard. It contains two Monarchy Audio SM-70 Pro power amps requiring attention. Also there's a set of Class D 60 watt power-amp components to be put together and some smaller Tripath amp boards to do something with.

Many of you will disagree, but I think that S/S amps are getting so good now that there is little to choose between them sound wise, although of course speakers have special needs sometimes due to sensitivity or impedances.

I agree with Russell, and put all my effort and focus into one system, maximising it.
I have just, after 7 months without music or radio, finished my lounge re-furbish and the tidying up of my ATC SCA2 preamp, and lashed up my tuner through the pre to the ADAM Betas (ICEPower).

So far, and only on FM, I'm in heaven, but the range of quality of studio/mic techniques and recordings really seems to stand out. It is really good to feel that all the endeavour was worth it.

There have been fine sounding solid state amps as long as I can remember. The main thing these days is higher powers are available and at comparatively lower cost.

A cheap budget amp from circa 1970 is the Trio KA-2000A and with sensitive speakers, it will outclass many modern amps for sound quality.........easily!
