    Default Wanted: an all in one box - phono stage, CD, DAC, pre and power

    Does such a thing exist:

    * All in one box, preferably with a narrow rather than wide footprint (though can go back as far as it needs to)
    * With phono stage, integral CD player, DAC input
    * Preamp out or sub-out
    * Power section minimum 20w pc, preferably a bit more

    Does such a thing exist - and more to the point does it exist second hand at sensible cash? Anybody got one?

    ATC SIACD ticks all boxes except the phono stage I think. I was going to point to the one on pfm but that appears to be sold now. Denon DM41 at the other end of the scale, would also need a phono stage.

    you can get most in one box but I'm not aware of one with inbuilt phono stage. e.g.

    I heard one of these at Bristol and liked it, doesn't break the bank either. Pity no phono though.

    “Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

    “You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

    “There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

    Devialet Expert Pro series. No CD player, but digital input from a transport.

    First class phono stage and DAC, power and stunning sound quality.

    Sensible price? Depends on what you call sensible.
