FS: Amplifier in Nytech CA 252 Box and Nytech Tuner : Amp not original.

I've had to relist this kit as I was kindly informed by a AOS member that the contents of the amplifier bears no relation to the CA 252 amplifier.
So this amplifier is for sale. The Tuner is Bonafide Nytech.
Both units work, and sound great. I've reduced the price to £95 for both. The cases are in exceptional condition, and could work as a donor for the original amp ...do swapsies...

The CT 206 powers on, and works...but the internal VU lights need replacing.... looks like a simple job. Photos below form part of the description.
Still listening to the amp now, and it's giving my Amcron 300A a run for it's money!

It's £110 for the both + postage, (postage is about £12 ish) or could meet up around the northern hemisphere of M25, London or pop down to Turnpike Lane for an audition..

We sold these at the time and the little amps were quite sweet sounding I remember. Well worth getting repaired/restored if the sliders can be replaced. I remember the integrated amp doesn't like being 'enclosed' by other stuff as it can get very warm in use. One I remember repeatedly shut down and we couldn't understand why until we visited the owner's place to find it fully enclosed by books!!! Free-siting it cured the 'issue.'

If you mean the current internals have been replaced, then I apologise. the CTA 252 receiver was a mid 70's design basically, although I don't know how much was changed as the design went on (reliability improved out of previous recognition in later samples with flying phono input leads as very old ones broke down a lot). There were two initial amps like the one pictured, one low powered and the other with a little more I recall.

Sorry if the above is irrelevant here. I can't remember much about the innards of these amps as supplied, sorry.

My "serious" amp (sic) was a brand new Arcam Alpha 1 which failed after a month.
The embarrassed dealer loaned me a Nytech; absolutely fabulous.
The Alpha was away for a long period thank God so this Nytech started me on the audio downward path!!

Hi Don, bit of a long-shot after six months.. but, I don't suppose the CA252 case might still be available ?

Mine is cosmetically challenged after 30 years of service.
