The point I was making though is that if you're over 30, then tight-fitting, short, shorts (Speedos at beaches, etc) look utterly ridiculous, especially in day-glow colours!
Go for something baggier and longer, in a plain colour, but with a bit of style, and as long as you're the right type of person for shorts, and under 60, you'll be fine
The partnering footwear is also crucial, so unless your at the beach, sandals of ANY TYPE are a big no-no!! Go for trainers (with trainer socks), as longer socks just look wrong. Or some sort of decent looking casual shoes, with no socks.
