I always make a point of saying to anyone wearing ripped jeans that it might be time to get a new pair. Usual response is 'That's what my dad says, too.'

ive seen a few pairs on really attractive women where it looks good, but on most it looks ghastly, especially the home made versions

So in other words peep-holes and they are only okay if there is an attractive woman on the other side?

    Well, I’m having trouble disagreeing.

In what way exactly? Women are criticised much more than men, for what they wear, and mostly by other women!

I'm same as you, I will not wear sandals or flip flops even at the beach or the pool, there it is barefoot only. Saw a bloke the other day wearing shorts and flip flops walking down the street by my house. Had his little daughter with him. He's probably scarred her for life.
    It's a nightmare, isn't it?

Flip-flops are BEACHWEAR only, nothing else. Therefore, they shouldn't be seen in any other environment. We get folk here at Sunday mass, flip-flopping down to the altar, in their shorts, to receive Holy Communion

Aside from being disrespectful, it just looks bloody ridiculous!! The problem in this country is that as soon as folk glimpse the merest sight of the sun, off comes their tops and on go the flip-flops

Worse still last time I was at my brothers his son was wearing sandals, I had a quiet word, don't think he'll be doing it again. It's up to us all to make a stand against it, especially with Brexit coming up.

As Alice Cooper pointed out, an attractive woman will look good in rags with dirt in her hair.

I don't have a problem with women wearing ripped jeans, but it's a bit tragic on a bloke. Unless the rips are due to natural wear and tear in which case it is okay.

You're just seeing things through the biased eyes of a middle-aged man. I'm sure there are many women out there who love gawping at bare-chested 'ripped' young guys in their ripped jeans!
