I like the young lad Jesus Great prospect to be best in world in couple of years. I like bale too although a bit injury prone alas. Also young Kane will be best centre forward around if he isn't already

Oh my god! There's nothing wrong with the bidet is there?

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

Thumbs up Serbia 1 Switzerland 2

A tremendous game of football, as I predicted, and with some great goals, particularly the one from Switzerland's Xhaka - what a sweet strike!

However, it was my man, Shaqiri, who won it for the Swiss with an amazing run from the halfway line and a composed finish, to make it 1-2.

Serbia started the game well and deserved to take the lead through Mitrovic, who was superb throughout the match and should've won his team a penalty, after being manhandled [Harry Kane-like] by two Swiss defenders in the box, but the ref decided there was no foul, and VAR wasn't used. Crazy!

In the second half, Switzerland upped their game and were undoubtedly the better team. You can see why they're a very difficult side to beat and haven't lost many games, as they're well organised, determined/physical and have skillful players in key positions. Serbia are also a good team and possess a significant threat going forward, but when comparing them with Croatia, they're quite a way behind them in overall class.

Anyway, some excellent results today in Group E, which means that the top three teams can all still qualify! Looking forward to seeing Belgium play tomorrow

    Marco.

Yep its all shaping up nicely for the 3rd round of matches next week with many permutations still possible . Interestingly with Nigeria s win today
there s still a chance for the Argies to progress and may even stop Diego Madge from going completely barmy, well for a few days anyway.

No way...I didnt see Nigeria as winning anything after their first turn out. They looked like a team who didnt want to be there, mad about bonuses or something.

There can be some surprising results which make the world cup interesting
