    They’re pretty big 780mm X 420mm x 360mm, the cabinets are 28mm thick ,they weigh a ton and are finished in ......

    They're probably diy, there were a lot of designs using similar drive units published at the time in magazines like Hifi Answers. The B139s were common with the celestion and coles tweeters, they usually came with a B110 mid range, but these ones are different. The one on the right looks like a bit like a Goodmans but I've never seen it with the suspension in white. The one on the left looks vaguely familiar but I can't quite place it. Although it's possibly another Goodmans that's had the surrounds replaced with rubber. The B139 with the white surround is a very early example, the other one is the more common early variety. It's probable one of these has been replaced in the past.

    Both mids are EMI. One has faded. Some IMF models used similar.

    I suspect the B139 with the convex white foam surround is original, as it's an early version. The other with what appears to be a concave black rubber surround is later and was probably a replacement. The white surrounds were known to harden and perish.
