    My sentiments exactly Steve,

They are however a true and genuine transducer ie: they dont sugar the cake, they are very revealing so you here the recorded music - after all.......

If It's a good recording you'll here everything laid out as it is, beautiful,

If the recording is a bit bright or hot then you'll here it. I love the way they get right inside and give you it, no cover up, disguise or bury so to speak

I shared a demo room with Paul at the WW show
He was using a pair of these speakers , I was suprised how good they sounded , We even changed over to my AI 500 valve amp , they went to another level

They would be good in a small room as they are front ported , the lower positioning of the tweeter works

They are very good for the asking price , IF you are hovering just do it you wont regret it , Quality speakers for very little money ,

    Money well spent

Yes Al, i used them with SS - One flagship Technics SU-VX800, the excellent Sansui AU-919 and then my current Sansui AU alpha 707 DR, always great sound in my modest small/medium room.

I can imagine they are wonderful with valves.

They are now up on the 'Bay too. Will be sad to see them go.

Every time I look at this thread I'm reminded how much I enjoyed my Freedoms.

Robert, be cautious about getting paid via PayPal and having the speakers collected after a sale on the bay. You are putting a lot of trust on the buyer unless you can agree only via friends and family PayPal.

Oh, thanks for that, would you suggest cash on collection as best ?

Yes indeed cash on collection is best. Also, if you can, get the buyer to give positive eBay feedback at the same time.

    Good luck.

    Surprised these are still here.
I loved mine for many years.....they were positioned near a door and i got almost pervy pleasure rapping the tops with a knuckle as I passed....very dead cabs.
The new owners may note a small improvement in sound if a small amount of waddling is placed behind the bass driver.....just damping panels applied to the walls as standard
