Default RADFORD MONITOR M.90 , rescued

Lovely ole things don’t you think?
I’ve yet to work on the cabinets and one woofer has the coating coming away which shouldn’t be difficult ( if it warrants doing )
All drivers working as they should though hf from the crossover isn’t working so I’ll have to source replacements ( I’ll do them all of course).

I think the sheep must have been of the Glastonbury breed

Not seen any of those for a long time.

It may say Radford on the mid, but it's a Goodmans unit. The bass driver looks like an alloy frame version of the Magnum K2 unit, cone looks similar.

The 'coating' on the woofer is a vinyl skin and is also an integral pert of the roll surround.

Hi Geoff, yes looking on the net they are apparently all Goodmans drivers .
I’d like to date them too ( not go out for dinner and a snog )

Well the one marked Peerless is a Peerless! Although Radford did use Goodmans tweeters too.

    They date from around 1970.

If the outer edge of the vinyl skin is coming away it may be possible to glue it back.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

Actually looking at the photos again, it looks like the Peerless tweeters are replacements for the originals, which would likely have been DT3's.
