We currently have a giant cloud about 5 miles south of us. But it's from a giant fire that's burning at Rivington. Police have just announced that roads and footpaths at or near to Rivington are closed of with police tape, and can we please not fly drones in the area as they could obstuct the flight paths of the helicopters.

This fire was deliberately set by some scrote who wanted to copy the big 'un at Saddleworth Moor. Police got him. Be interested to see what the punishment for this will be.

Too warm for me to be doing anything useful at 29C (84F) currently. This kind of heat sort of takes the wind out of my sails! I don't enjoy it.

I shall just take it easy and lounge about with a beer or two tonight I think.

Probably a mere 'ticking off' with 10 hours of community service.

It's something, with rain, that I'm hoping comes our way tomorrow. Forecast says there's a chance so I've mown our already brown lawn. If we don't get a shower I've probably killed it.

    Thermometer says 30 degrees here.

Took my shirt off earlier and sat out in the garden under an umbrella. The bastid horseflies are really out in force this year as around 4 of them landed on me within seconds and did their dirty work. In the middle of my back too so I cannot dab the After Bite pen on them either. Evil little shits seemed to know I can't reach these bites

Itchy lumps for a week now
    CD player = Marantz CD6006
    DAC/pre = Rotel RC 1572
    Power amp = ADA PF201
Speaks = Quadral Chromium Style 6

talking of fires, there was a big one at bottom of my street last night and a big explosion... gas bottle or a petrol tank... 3 garages and a van destroyed. the sleeper to london passes by about 10 yds from it so it was delayed. probably arson
