It's sweltering here, currently 26°C, and rising... Simply too hot to sit outside, so currently inside, where it's considerably cooler, as earlier before I left, I drew all the curtains in the lounge to keep the sun out!
Just sipping an cold glass of Coke, with lots of ice and a slice of fresh lemon... Sometimes, when it's *this* hot, an ice-cold Coca-Cola really hits the spot!!

Not exactly cold here down here on the south coast, but its grey, overcast and a bit dreary, and has been all week. A bit of sunshine and some blue skies wouldnt go amiss, especially as I could do with an injection of cheer before heading off to Ireland next week to see the outlaws.
Whilst this may sound good, they are the only teetotal house in the country, and live in the arse end of nowhere just outside Athlone - it's always grey, drab and miserable there, even on the rare occasions when the sun comes out!

Lol, we've pretty much had great weather all week.... Still, look on the positive side, at least you'll be seeing somewhere different for a change! Are you going by car?
If so, I'd also use the opportunity to tour around some of the local area, or plot a route from wherever you land in Ireland, to your destination, which allows you to experience what the rest of the country has to offer. Having that sort of freedom and flexibility is one of the reasons why we almost always go places by car

Crap Weather for June!
Good god, no - I drove over by car once for our wedding and NEVER again!
Compare:
Option 1 - 4 hours to Fishguard in the car, 3 hours on the ferry (it was only an hour and a bit when I did it, but that was on the SeaCat, which no longer does Fishguard to Rosslare) and then another 2.5 hours on somewhat ‘rural’ roads at the other end.
Option 2 - 25 minutes drive to Southampton Airport, 1 hour drinking coffee and having breakfast in the airport, 1 hour 15 minutes flight and then 1 hour or so drive in a hire car to Athlone.
No contest!!
Anyway, we’re going over as there are things to do around the house for mother-in-law and we will be driving down to Cork on the way back to see father-in-law as he’s in a nursing home near there, so it’s not a holiday as such.
That said, we are treating ourselves to one night in a nice hotel in Cork on the last night, though - it has a swimming pool, spa, sauna etc. and most importantly - A BAR!!!
