Yes it has been there for a long time. More than 30 years. It's not bad, but the better one is 'The Dragon' which is in the opposite direction. But there's not much in it.

Noted! So it it the Dragon you're going to tonight (probably have been there already)?

The best ones tend to be those that have been there for years.

Dragon used to be 'Lao's' when I moved here in '92. That was pretty good. Then it became 'Lucky House' and the food was inedible. About 10 years ago it changed again and is pretty decent now. We used to have a fantastic Tandoori too, Bangladeshi feller, but he closed down in about '95. That Canton Express you go to has always been the same.

We don't have a Kentucky though, that's a bit of a shame. Probably good for my health though.

Used to have a few decent Chinese takeaways around here. Not as good as they were although not been for one for a good few years now.
My own spare ribs were better than any of them tho. Lol

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

It's raining, overcast and gloomy. 15C out there at the moment. Hopefully it'll dry up.

The weather here has been pretty poor for May and June.
It rained so much recently that the water flowing in the ditches at the side of the road went over the top of the small bridge leading onto our drive.

I wouldn't touch Kentuky (you know, as we've been here before), and Del makes her own southern fried chicken, which is in a different league! Anyway, next time I'm down We'll get something from Dragon.

Are there any sit down Chinese places in Stoke?

No, you have to go over to Hanley or Newcastle for that. There's a Japanese restaurant round the corner from me though.
