If you wanted to sag off from school in my day you had to think it through. There was a lot of open ground to cross, a wall to climb and sentries everywhere. Most of the time we made it. However one attempt that involved attempting to brazenly walk out through the main gate dressed as civilians ('Colditz' style) failed and doomed us to enduring the three hour long end-of-term Mass.
