    I'm Anthony.

    Default Hello from Somerset 2

I've been into Hifi for years but I've recently got a pretty serious system (to me it is anyway).

    My current system:

Boenicke Audio W8 Speakers with SwingBase
    Roksan Caspian CD Player
    MFA Classic V2 Preamp
Nord One SE UP NC500DM Stereo
    SRM Arezzo Turntable
    Rothwell Rialto
    Ortofon 2M Blue
    Lumin D1 with Sbooster
    Synology DS215j
    Van Damme Blue series/Mark Grant

I'm currently going through my collection of digital albums making sure all the metadata is correct and tidying everything up before transferring them onto my Synology Nas. I've completed all artists/groups beginning with 'D' so far! It's going to take years!

I will be upgrading to the MFA Baby Reference V2 at the end of this month. The owner/creator of these wonderful preamps, Jonathan, will be delivering it personally.

I am on other forums but realized it would have made more sense to have used the same Username as I have on them. Oh well.

    Anthony

I have a very wide taste in music which I'm grateful for: 60s onwards.
I can't stand most music produced today, but there are still good groups around. Forums like this help in finding them.
I do like electronic music and love Kraftwerk.

    I like for example:
    Joe Jackson
    Nirvana
    Orbital
    Elton John
    Cliff Richard
    Deep Purple
Bear's Den and their album 'Red Earth & Pouring Rain' (which I came across recently and think is brilliant)
    Burt Jansch

    I could go on.

Good to see another Somerset laddie.
Not familiar with some of your gear but share your pain re metadata. Thankfully mine’s pretty much done.
    Current kit :
Music library (FLAC) on IMac or streamed via Qobuz. Fed wirelessly to Raspberry Pi / Allo Digione and into Lyngdorf digital amplification. This handles room correction and drives a pair of Quad 2905 electrostatics.

    Hi Space

Although you are obviously a digital boy we do have some shared interest and I do like the look of those speakers. Drop me a PM if you fancy a beer one evening.

    Cheers
