    Default Hi!

    Hi everyone,

I'm a 29 year old Swede with a lifelong fondness for music. I've played violin, acoustic guitar and electric guitar and I've had the good fortune to have a good mix of musical teachers and friends who've let me into all sorts of environments that have deepened my appreciation. Sitting in on recording and producing sessions, playing in everything from classical orchestras to solo violin to hard rock bands. These days I mainly listen and play guitar in my apartment, but music is still my primary channel into whatever the hell that elusive magic/divinity of the world is.

I've had a home studio period, a headphone period, a big system in big room period and now I've ended up with a small system in a small room. As it happens, much by chance, it's by far my favorite setup thus far.

The chain is Allo DigiOne Streamer with S-Booster -> Rega DAC -> Rega Brio-R -> Harbeth P3ESR

I've had it for about 6 months and I've tried pretty hard to improve things without success. Speaker wise I'm done, I love them. The rest looks easier to upgrade but I've thrown significantly pricier items in there and stepped not forwards or sideways, but way backwards. There is some synergy going on here for sure but you know how it goes, the battle for improvement shall continue!

Looking forward to including yet another forum in my reading routine.

    All the best,

    Andreas

Hi Andreas, welcome to the forum.

The Rega DAC and the Brio are quite a special combination I have to agree.

    Hello Andreas. Welcome to AOS.

I see you're another Harbeth fan. They have quite a following with members.

Feel free to join in the chat, there's a lot going on here.

    Enjoy the forum,

Welcome to AoS Andreas - nice introduction.

If you are happy with your system and all trial substitutions have been a backward step for you, then just leave things as they are and enjoy what you have. There are too many music lovers who relentlessly chase after an elusive ultimate system. You are in a fortunate position!

    Enjoy the Forum

A curious sequitur, and an even curiouser film. But I love the works of Tarkovsky, so you have reminded me to dig the DVD out and watch it again.

By the way Andreas, this is what we call 'thread drift', a phenomenon for which AoS is (in)famous.

If my avatar and an instance of thread drift causes someone to watch a Tarkovsky film that's certainly fine with me

It's been a good while since I watched a Tarkovsky as well. I think Stalker is next in line when I find myself in the mood.
