    The Aeco plugs have arrived. They look nice, but I think they would be better with two strain relief screws and a plastic body.
    I am just waiting for my cable to arrive now.

    The reducer ring is pretty effective if you can use it, if not, build up the thickness with heatshrink and then put some clear stuff over the plug and cable. It works really well.

    The new cable is now made up.
    I should have checked the specs properly as it was a pain getting the new big fat cable to fit inside the 10.5mm diameter plug!
