Cambridge CXN Firmware upgrade

Just installed the latest software for the Original CXN streamer.

Very impressive. Apart from adding support for Tidal, the update gives access to higher resolution streaming on Web Radio using the DASH platform. Several stations now available in 320k AAC format.

BTW. The update also replaces the opening graphics with a more sober Cambridge50 logo.

Yes, though strangely it appears under the Music Library section rather than under Inputs (as with Spotify).

Spent the last hour listening to Tidal on the CXN android app. Very impressed on the premium SQ setting.

Always likes the sound quality of the CXN but felt the app let it down.
