I'd replace your Number 8 myth with the myth that there is no difference in various pressings of an LP. The differences in various pressings could be enormous.
Both very fair points. Although I doubt you would find an audiophile who would suggest that there is never a difference in pressings. Even I will agree that it can be significant. Although if the re-pressing is also a re-master then all bets are off.
I may be needlessly hyphenating again there. Sorry.
