    I'm not very technical if I'm honest. How would 'an earth loop problem' be solved - assuming this to the case?

    Another one to try is to switch the interconnect white to red and vice versa at both ends, to see if the problem moves.

    The buzzing (why the OP called it feedback God alone knows ) could well be a problem with a lack of continuity on the signal ground.
    Of course, as well, there is also the option of adding an optical switch. They are available in 2, 3, 4 switch options. It does add another remote control but, that isn't too much hassle to deal with.

    I think I know how i am going to solve this problem. I'm going to get an optical switch so I can plug both B2 and the Sky box in. Job done then I reckon. I'll let you all know how I get on.
