Default 1st pissing contest, just for fun, speaker height.

Having thought about the state of play at Firebottle Towers it seems there is a bit of a trend here in having speakers high up.

The heights are all measured from floor to the top edge, not including super tweeters.
The music room speakers, the ESL57's are the highest at 2.58 metres, hung from the vaulted ceiling.

The speakers in the kitchen are on top of a tall cabinet at 2.31 metres to top edge.

Next highest are in the garage, on top of a receiver on a shelf, at 2.20 metres to top edge.

The workshop speakers are wall mounted at 1.91 metres to top edge.

The last pair of speakers in use in the lounge must be suffering from acrophobia, but then they are floorstanders at 0.79 metres so maybe can be forgiven.

I love Hendrix for so many reasons. He was so much more than just a blues guitarist - he played damn well any kind of guitar he wanted. In fact I'm not sure if he even played the guitar - he played music. - Stevie Ray Vaughan

I have turned a double bedroom into a dedicated music room. My Maggies are now on the first floor. Does this count?

Nice try but if they are on any floor you can only measure to the top edge, not including the ground floor.

My workshop speakers are on the first floor ........

The super tweeters in the music room I understand, the ones in the kitchen not so much

It's a different slant so why not? My altimeter says 522 feet but I don't believe it's that high.

    You lead.
