    Default Lpg/calor gas ........nightmare

We live out in the sticks, with no mains gas supply. So, we have a large underground gas tank, with LPG supplied by Calor .

how it has always worked is I keep an eye on gas levels and phone an order in. They usually deliver shortly afterwards.

I did this recently, as normal, but then forgot about it.

They failed to deliver and yesterday we run out of gas. I spent hours waiting on the end of my phone to speak to someone, but didn’t get through.

a bit of googling suggests that this is a national problem and many folks are being left with no gas for weeks!!!!!!!!!!

It seems that Calors position is that they are having difficulty sourcing supplies, due to terminal closures. That is their only position !!!!

According to messages of complaint all over the internet, it seems as if I can’t move to another supplier without permission from Calor, which they are refusing to give to others.

Anyone have any personal experience of this nightmare.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

I would have thought you would be able to get out of your contract by virtue of the fact that they have breached the terms (i.e. failure to supply). Try contacting the regulator.
