The weather is on the turn. It's warm and clammy and the sky is going dark. Rain soon I think.

Not here in sunny Wrexham...There's barely a cloud in the sky, with the temp currently at 23°C! just getting the table ready outside for dinner

Think the rain is hitting us later, around 10pm. Tomorrow will be a bit shit...

No car boot again, then. We haven't had one since last September.

Anyway, the cows have been in it all week, so the field will be full of 'stepping stones', which really aren't.

It's been another beautiful warm day here in London. Around 23C - perfect. Clouded over about 3:30 with a few spots of rain, but now the cloud has broken up with blue sky peeping through.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

Just come in now from having been outside in the garden since 5pm, in t-shirt and shorts (as it was warm enough), enjoying a lovely meal and some drinkies. Still no rain here and pleasantly warm

I'm expecting it to be rather different tomorrow

Whoo. I just looked outside and there was a huge flash of lightning and clap of thunder. It's been raining steadily for a while.
