Default WTD: Funk firm achromat (black)

Does anyone have one of these (non Technics) that they are no longer using?

    Thanks

It’s for a Thorens TD160 so the 5mm version would be preferable I guess.

Funnily enough I have one - had completely forgotten about it. It's black, 5mm thick and it pretty good condition. I have just dusted it off. it was stored on top of a bookcase but on top of something flat, so it seems true. It has strips of double-side sticky tape on the underside which you could have fun peeling off (!). It's between 295 and 295.5mm diameter. I used it years ago on a Garrard 401.
Can't guarantee I could get around to posting before Easter ( life is very busy atm with 'family' issues ) but let me know and I will start looking for packaging.

Hi Mark. Sounds good, but could you just confirm if this is the standard version or the one with the undercut to allow for the ridge at the edge of the platter?

I'm not familiar with any Thorens platters - there is a 2mm to 2.5mm wide 45 degree chamfer around the edge of the underside. This may have been a modification by myself to account for the 401 platter, but it's too long ago to be sure. The rest of the underside is flat & continuous.

Ah, I think that is the technics/301/401 specific mat. I’m after the standard one.

You need the full size one. Probably better with the 3mm one due to spindle height. I had one on mine for a while.

A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

Thanks for the offer but I’m only really looking for the achromat.

Hi, I have a Black standard (non Techie) 3mm Achromat that I no longer use.

In pretty good condition. A few small marks (nothing structural) and flat.

    Yours for £25 delivered.
