    What amp are you using the Ruarks with Dan? I had a pair of Prologue 1s for a while & with Quads they always sounded a little 'woolly'.

    I will be using a Mix of amps but very surprised with a Yamaha AX 596 on testing

    Musical Fidelity E100 , Technics 909 U&S , Sugden A28 "Once Serviced" and Yes will be using the Quads at some point

    Have you ever heard the Gale GS301 speakers? They look and sound very similar. Not common though.

    Trying to remember what amps I had at the time/tried them with? They were certainly a bit vague with a Quad 306 using a Quad 77 as a pre (&, I think, with the 77 itself). Can't really compare though, the Prologues are a whole different animal to the ones you've got & intended more for AV use rather than 'Hifi'.

    Uh Oh just got a pair of IMF ALS 40 II's

    But think the mids have rotted still intact could i get away with using them as is if they work?

    No, Dan - do not use them like this. They’ll sound rubbish and you may well damage the voice coils.
    Engineers: fixing problems you didn't know you had in ways you don't understand.
