Never owned any Yamaha gear that I can recall, apart from a rather nice sounding MC cartridge.

I said you were slipping Dan, 'cos you're not buying enough equipment lately!

(just remembered, I have two pairs of Yamaha HP-1 headphones too )

I love Yamaha Gear you should see the Yamaha Mini Disk i have about the same size as the A2 will dig it out and give it a run soon and upload pictures to show you I am surprised at that its something you should dip into their AV gear is top class and their classic 70's gear is also fantastic...

I'm surprised so few are interested in MiniDisc. Forget fiddly unreliable R2R recorders. My Pioneer MJ-D707 MiniDisc deck makes bloody superb recordings!

I have a Sony rack mount Minidisc that I love! I canít recall how old it is? Close to 20 years maybe? I had some cheaper Sony decks, they didnít last before they went loco. But this rack mount with XLR connections is tough! I had it in my band rack for years, but now have it in my home stereo, and use it to learn songs for the band. If I donít own the recording, Iíve got a Bluetooth receiver connected to my auxiliary input, so I can record direct from a YouTube video to Minidisc, not great, but good enough to learn a song by. And Miniís that Iíve made by copying from CD are amazing! Once upon a time every band member owned a Minidisc deck, and I would record every practice and pass the discs around so everyone could study them. I even had a Minidisc player indash in my car!
