Default Indigo Speakers. Anybody remember them?

Some years ago Indigo speakers were available for a while on the UK market.

They looked good, had several favourable reviews and sensible prices. Then just totally disappeared.

I wonder why. Is the company still in existence? Strangely, the speakers never seem to crop up on the second hand market, was there a durabilty problem?

We had a pair in to try out. They were quite well made but rather bland and being unknown, were a difficult sell. In fact, the only pair we sold was the demo pair at a derisory price. The manufacturer seemed to disappear within a very short time.

I have a pair of the indigo model ones https://hometheaterreview.com/indigo...aker-reviewed/ given to me by Peter (petrat) of this forum, top man.
Great little speakers and have a surprising low end bass that you wouldn't expect from a little bookshelf speaker. The model ones also came with a subwoofer to make them a 3 speaker system.
these have been compared to ls3s, I've never heard a pair but if they do then I'm surprised there is no mention of them these days.

Not sure of the model designation but we had the floor stander on demo.

As a company, they seemed to disappear before they even got noticed.

That's what struck me. They seemed to have everything going for them, but just vanished.

Most likely they "never crop up on the second hand market" because so few were sold, if our experience is anything to go by.

Peter knew a little about the company from when I spoke to him. Think he said a friend of his ending up buying the remaining stock around 2010 (iirc).

I remember a few NOS examples and component parts on ebay probably around then. Not that many though.
