    Did you take the original "stand" off?

    Has it affected the sound in any way?

    Hi Bob, do you mean the plinth around the base...?
    Yes virtually fell off tbh,
    These now sit on 3 adjustable spikes that are attached to 19mm of solid mahogany then I made three aluminium and stainless stands these are bottled right through the speaker, nuts inside..

    I will try to upload a picture or two.

    As for the sound, well the foams were shot so can’t compare, but looking at the original I don’t think they would have helped the sound in any way unless they were maybe standing on a sold floor directly.

    These are the bases.. originally I was going to use three screws in each as can be seen by the holes in the top flanges, but then decided to bolt them much more rigid construction.
