It's only what I heard, so assume it applies to those with a mesomorphic physique. All I can say is that it works for me, but then I'm probably endomorphic (skinny).

    Smart arse alert!

Endomorph - heavy body type, more prone to obesity

Mesomorph - medium body type, best if you want to be a bodybuilder or gymnast

    Ectomorph - skinny body type

I'm 5'10" and waist size 34", so looks like I'm not a fat f**k after all.

Another good indicator - if you're taller led down than stood up, you're in trouble

Would the raspberry jam in a Morrisons doughnut count as one of my 5 a day?

Because I've just scoffed all five (2 while waiting for the kettle to boil, and the other three with me brew (tea with one sweetener as I'm trying to reduce my sugar intake).

That's the trouble with doughnuts, they go stale very quickly, and I hate to see food wasted.

I may take the empty packet to the outside bin, to walk off the calories.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

Ten times round the deck is a mile.

I count a Picnic bar as one of the five-a-day so I reckon the jam in a doughnut is definitely one. Possibly two.
