    Doesn't a vacuum have to be in something that isn't one? Otherwise it's just in a vacuum.

    I believe that the correct terminology is "suction cleaner"

    This was instilled in me when I started working as an engineer at Electrolux. If one called it a "Hoover" that might be a sacking offence!
