Perhaps this is a bit one sided!

When somebody takes you for a bit of a Pratt.... it doesn’t bode well.

I’m 70+ and only looking for the best deal, but that doesn’t seem to be the on the agenda.

It grates for somebody to say that I know nothing about vintage kit.!

I was asking for a reasonable price...... not a bloody argument about I should buy new if I didn’t know what was on offer.

Anyway, he ain’t selling.... and I’m not buying.

Very annoyed..... perhaps eBay is better whether his your mate or not.

    Peter

By the way.... isn’t this supped to be a private message ??? Between me a the recipient?

Nobody called you a pratt Peter. Being 70 is irrelevant. Nobody said you know nothing. A price is quoted, if you want to make an offer and haggle, use PM's. And I don't understand what you mean about this being a private message.

Cluttering a sales thread with spurious comments is 'thread crap' and not permitted.

Quite happy to be banned if this is the response.

I asked for a reasonable price and got back that I no nothing about vintage kit.

And yes, my age is relevant...... I am not a child to be spoken to with no respect.

If that is what you really think, perhaps better off without me.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”
