    Hi Drew

There are a few 301s up on e(vil)bay that you may want to look into.

Can I also suggest contacting Dominic of Northwest Analogue - https://www.northwestanalogue.com/ - as he dabbles with Garrard t/ts.

    Hi Drew,

I'm a lurker here normally, but did see your WTB 301 post.

I do have a nice 301 that you might be interested in. It is a fairly early oil bearing, schedule 2 in cream s/n 37129. I bought it a couple of years back from a retired engineer and audiophile who kept it regularly serviced, including both motor bearings. It has been my main turntable since then. The cosmetic condition is fantastic - the paint underneath the platter has discoloured slightly, but the visible paintwork is great with no nasties or dustbug marks etc. I haven't showed pics of underneath, but clean and all original.

It is currently housed in a cherry veneer plywood plinth that I had made by Carl Ellis (he has a facebook page - handmade turntable plinths). There is an armboard (shown) for an SME 3009 and another (not shown) for a Audio Technica AT-1005.

I would like to sell both the 301 and plinth together (I am not planning on getting another 301 for now and need the house space).

I should also mention that the platter is from a 401 - not sure why although the chap I bought it off said the 401 platter was an improvement. I believe they are fully interchangeable anyway.

I am asking £1250 firm for both, plus shipping (it will probably need to be two boxes due to the weight of the plinth). Payment with bank transfer or Paypal. Please PM if interested or if you want any further info.

    Paul
