    not if you're implying that the supply is reduced by the demand. I've not come across mains voltage below 240v and mostly around 245v. All the talk around power supplies is tosh

    No so with DC on the mains i might add.

    "You're not from Chicago!"

    .... or from the North or Midlands. My power supply varies a lot. When I commissioned a power amp for my Maggies I was asked to check the mains voltage so that the bias could be set. I checked several times and it never fell below 247v. However, a while back I noticed some deterioration in the sound from my hifi and it was 233v.

    My speakers and TT definitely need to warm up before they work at their best. After about 10 the heating goes off as we cannot sleep in a warm room. Their is a very obvious difference to many rubber components such as speaker sorrounds at differing temperatures.

    Can't say I've noticed any issue but then it is rarely warm in my living room even in the summer so I've no comparison.

    Imagine how much bass you would get if you warmed your room up a bit.
