    Default Ampex 456 tape

    Afternoon from a snowy Surrey!

Having finally decided not to return to the medium of open reel following the demise of my cherished Revox, I have a few new + un-used 10 1/2" metal reels of 1/4" Ampex 456 surplus to requirements.

Is there an enthusiast on this forum who would be interested before I go down the alternative and tedious route?!!

    Regards

    Denty

    Thanks for the pointers Allen.

    For "demise" read "theft"

Am looking for £12 per reel but I've got a "bundle" that may be of interest as follows, and it obviously suits me to do only 1 transaction

18 reels Ampex 1/4" 456 studio mastering tape on 10 1/2" metal NAB reels, 9 were bought as pancakes / hubs and put in some Scotch metal NAB empty reels that I had a surplus of. £180. Will also throw in 3 x 7" Scotch 207 new/un-used tapes, 2 empty 7" reels, 1x empty metal 10 1/2" NAB reel, assorted splicing tapes and a splicer.

Any questions dont hesitate to ask

    Thanks
