The tinned soups are getting quite good and I dont mean the ultra cheap cream of tomato which are orrible. I get a nice tomato and basil soup and I bulk it out with something like the mixed veg
I cant be arsed sourcing everything au natural so a bit of frozen and tinned food is handy.
As to the woods, the Ray Mears life sounds great for five minutes but I really wouldnt have a clue how to survive off the land and it would be miserable. A day is a long time when you cant pig out on the sofa with a computer game
I don't even have a freezer box in the fridge but then I rarely cook for myself, I really only do that when I am not working which hasn't been for over a decade now. Don't see the point in buying anything frozen when you can buy it fresh anyway. Supermarket is literally round the corner and open 0700-2300 6 days a week.
I've done some Ray Mears style 'living in the woods'. It gets old really quickly. Was watching repeat of 'The Good Life' the other day. What works on sitcoms really doesn't work in the real world. I too prefer a comfy chair and a computer game
