Do they vacuum dry (or even blow-dry) the record so that it's ready for the inner? Can't see how, with part of the record immersed. Whereas I'm sure the ultrasonic method is superlative, it seems pointless if you're going to lose the benefits of a common or garden RCM.
The DIY versions have a large tank where the record is immersed and revolves around a central axis via a motor drive, the record is the manually removed for drying either on a rack or some offer a drying tank which has an air dryer.

The commercial machines have a small tank which automatically fills as part of the cycle, after cleaning the tank automatically empties and a blow dryer is activated, I believe the commercial machines have a filter to clean the crap that has been removed

Do you find the need to use ear plugs or ear defenders whilst using the Project? As I've had the Moth for six years it is a nuisance, for me at least, having to block out the noise.

I can't quite believe that I have just spent five minutes watching a record rotate!

However, I am not sure about the machine blow drying the record post cleaning - seems more logical to me to dry by sucking the remaining water/crud? off the vinyl. I would worry that any remaining dust would be baked on as the suspension evaporated.

    Hi Al

Ive been looking at the Loricraft machines the last couple of days and have seen the demo videos on Youtube. Would you say the records are better cleaned on the Loricraft compared to the Okki Nokki and Moth machines

I may purchase one of these machines myself in the near future

Clean is clean. I have owned KMAL, Loricraft, Nitty Gritty and Moth, all did the job equally well.

Not at all. It's not terribly loud.
