    Whatever it was in the What HIFI Choice review of the Caiman, it did result in extra sales of the Caiman . I have had to put a 'low stock' notice on my site since I am down to my last few Caimans for this month .

    It's for the recording to have pace, rhythm and timing.
    ...and for the DAC not to screw it up, not that I think the Caiman does that. The afterthought DAC included inside my Bel Canto transport does a sterling job of screwing up the pace rhythmn and timing though. That's why I use an off-board DAC.
