Hi Tony, had mine in for a week now and I keep going through music I know well and am continually impressed how this cable helps deliver such an even handed and insightful experience. My previous IC seemed to blur vocals and accentuate high end information too much. The Spotfire IC gives more detail and clarity and vocals are much more intelligible.

Think Brian might quite like how this cable handles sibilance

As you mentioned, considering the components used to build this cable and the quality of its construction it is superb value for money.

    My impressions are as follows.

Ive been round the cable block a few times and have numerous bakeoffs with the Scottish troops.

My go to cable has been Mark Grant 2000s with the wbt 0110 ag plugs.

I have numerous others but already know the MG is the front runner in all my systems.

    OK the Spotfire...

Beautiful build quality as good as anything I have purchased.

The KLE plugs are a really good fit on my phono sockets.

Tonally they are very neutral with no discernible lift anywhere in the spectrum.

    Fantastic detail retrieval.

Rock solid soudstage with the best instrument placement ive experienced .

I keep coming back to timing in my description-they just seem to capture drum rythms really well high hats and symbols sound terrific.

I have a personal dislike of sibilance on voices-female vocalist that close mic rip my knitting-the spotfire is really good in this respect.

    The best ICs ive tried.

Considering the cost of plugs/cable/shrink wrap/braiding they represent a bit of a bargain IMHO.

I will continue to burn them in until my pair arrive and then will get them to Gary if thats OK with Oliver.

    Usual caveat ....my kit/room/tunes/ears YMMV.
Thanks for the comments, Tony. Im really pleased you like them.

    Thanks for your purchase

Excellent write up Tony . I've heard your system many times and I know that the MGs were your favourite interconnects . If Oliver's sound better then they must be very good indeed .

They handle female vocals beautifully.....i got bullied out of my listening position last night when playing some Ella.

Had to endure some George Micheal after that-always a good sign when Lou ousts me from the hot seat.

She has the front room with the Spendors im not allowed to sell!!!

Maybe I should start up a metoo movement for hi fi men that are bullied into listening to girly music against theyre will-George Micheal could be viewed as abuse?

wow this looks promising. If they are even 15.68% (stat plucked from the air) better than the last lot Oli made these new cables must be up there competing with cables costs 'hundreds'. Looking forward to having a listen.

question: Surely playing G Michael stuff degrades the quality of the cables?
