Yeah I immediately thought Tannoy. So will most. Tis a good clean sounding drive unit, I think, from what I heard. I'll slip a video in at some stage to give a vague vibe but they did do the drums in the flesh much better than the video plays back on my 2nd system.

OK let's do a quick bloody dreadful. Mission. As confirmed by an old acquaintance by the name of George, just shite. If anyone hears this room sounding anything better than rubbish, let us know

And hear is another candidate for rubbish. What the hell was going on I don't know but surely the cartridge was damaged or something. It just sounded like it was mis-tracking dreadfully. At least I hope that was the case. It's the first time I have heard this Michell cartridge. Either that, or the record was a complete mess.

I own a Michell deck and like their kit, BTW. Hopefully the problem will be fixed by tomorrow.

Don't worry there is more "good" to come, but that is it for today. More tomoz.

I am at the show tomorrow, at the Timestep stand on the ground floor. Please drop by to say hello, and to see my new Technics armboards, as well as a rather exciting new tonearm from Timestep (it’s very lovely indeed and I will be selling it alongside Glanz.

Here’s a photo of the new arm https://photos.app.goo.gl/uQcIb0yMwoeEbfqI2

great show . the ram speakers room pretty good with the little l3/5a falcon speakers causing quite a stir . their sudgen amps looked good . the new spendor a7 sounding very natural and the audionote e`s were just utterly fantastic . if only , if only they would turn the volume down in that room !!

    well worth a visit

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”
