Talking The Never Ending Quest For High Fidelity

Here are some current pics of my Music Room. Next week I will be giving the rack a remodel to make room for a Furman Elite 15i FP and a Marantz PM8006. Stay tuned!

Very tidy, very organised. I like the room treatment, did it make much of a difference?

Oh my god! There's nothing wrong with the bidet is there?

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

Thank you! Yes the treatment I have added did wonders. My listening area is 10 feet wide and the speakers are about 12 feet from my listening position. I had a reflection point from the left speaker on the right wall. I added some colorful Acoustimac panels there and it helped a ton! After playing around with toe out on speakers I now have a very wide sound stage that blankets you with sound yes still has very detailed center imaging. The sound is incredible from ceiling to floor as well. I couldnt be happier. Now if I could just figure out how Im going to lay out the Furman and Marantz on my rack......

I'm in a similar position set-up wise, RH speaker is right by a chimney breast, and it skews the imaging a little so I might give it a go. I know Studio Spares sell the panels quite cheap.

Not sure acoustimac ships over seas but each 12x12 panel was only $22 with beveled edges.
