Not really that surprising given the whole point of having hair is to insulate your head from the cold. Unless you think evolution is a crock and God just added it because he thought it looked good.

"The Lord gives (nose hair, grey pubes and the need to make a noise when picking something up), and the Lord takes away (head hair, hearing and the ability to see your bits while standing)"

He took my hair away as punishment for how I had it in the seventies.

Lol - it's a serious moaning 'old farts' thread - that's what it is!

I still have a pretty retentive memory (especially for stuff that really interests me), both short and long term. Interesting that taking bins out was mentioned, as it's our bin day tomorrow, and as soon as my wife came in from work I reminded her that the bins needed going out for collection.

So we took them out (we always do it together, as with all the recycling bits, there are umpteen items to carry, including the main 'named' bin this week, and our driveway is about 300 yards long, so it's quicker if we take it all out together!)

No, at 52 I'm not quite ready for the knackers yard yet...

The hair may be receding, but I've always kept it short (never had long hair in my life), and what's there is still naturally dark brown (albeit it with a few grey flecks here and there), but mostly still brown, and my eyesight is good (no need yet to wear glasses), and my hearing is near perfect. I even still have all my own teeth!

No, I'm generally in very good health, with no aches and pains to speak of (take no tablets for any ailments), don't drink to excess, or smoke, and am reasonably fit, as I power walk for up to 8 miles every day. I don't really feel my age at all, and indeed pretty much the same (and in some ways better) as I did when I was 35. I also think and behave like a much younger person.

I guess it's the healthy diet, positive mental attitude (always been a cheery, 'glass half full' person), low-stress lifestyle, and Italian genes!

I had some Italian jeans once. Armani I think. Might have been knock-offs, I don't know.
