    Hi Guys

    Yep now have one of these monsters and its for keep one of the better rated Yams on the day....i also have a CR 820 the one below....

    They don't make them like this anymore set up sounding superb with a Pair of Mission 770 Freedom , Yamaha CDX 860 & The Rega Planar 2
    Couple of Pictures below - Yes it needs bulbs but that is all

    Happy Days been trying to buy since last October when i saw it in my local record shop - Steve is on here "Dr Henry Jones " excellent guy to deal with knows his stuff...

    Used to sell them back in the day. What sticks in the mind is the wonderful feel of the controls. Nothing else came close.

    I do believe you can get LED lights to replace the incandescent lamps, Direct replacement. I’m not sure where but I know I’ve seen them. And congrats on a killer Yammy!

    I'm not so sure the LED's available will be a direct replacement.
    I had CR1020 and 2020 recievers and the bulbs were hard wired in circuit.

    Still....fabulous piece of kit, should come up spangly with a facia stripdown. Simply soak the knobs and front in CIF foaming bathcleaner....the non bleach type.

    P.s...the variable loudness is a waste of space.

    Thinking back, I recall the bulbs that looked like glass fuses that were stock in a Marantz receiver from back in the day, the LED replacements were made as an exact replacement for those.

    And I’ve done a few clean ups on old gear before and I agree about the foaming bath cleaner! Cuts years of finger grime off the brushed aluminum instantly!
