Default Sony CDP 711E is this a bargain ?

Just saw an immaculate Sony CD player CDP 711E with remote in my local charity shop for £15 is this a bargain ? Was it a good CD player in its day is it worth keeping as a spare ?

£15 is about what it is worth if it is minty mint. There are no really poor Sony players, I've had a fair few of them over the years, still have 6 or 7 I think.
    Current Lash Up:

    TEAC VRDS 701T > Sony TAE1000ESD > Krell KSA50S > JM Labs Focal Electra 926.

shame it wasnt the 715e...that was a bit of a sleeper and played well above its weight...back in the day of course
if the 711e is in good nick and comes with remote and tracks well then its a good back up cd player at that price isnt it
