Default Vintage Kef speakers (Cadenza, Chorale, Coda, Cantor) vs vintage B&W speakers (DM)

Vintage Kef speakers (Cadenza, Chorale, Coda, Cantor) vs vintage B&W speakers (DM2, DM4, DM5, D5).

    Difference, suggestions, thoughts, etc.?

    Many thanks.

    KEF for jazz/classical, B&W for rock/blues.
    Current Lash Up:

    TEAC VRDS 701T > Sony TAE1000ESD > Krell KSA50S > JM Labs Focal Electra 926.

I have most of those speakers, I would tend to forget all those KEF models, main problem in my view is quacky midrange. DM2 and DM4 are in my opinion are a better option.

I rated the D5 as more tonally accurate than the DM4 and smoother thorough the treble. Long time since I used either though.

Actually. If you like that sort of sound, the Ruark Swordsman may appeal. It uses the same tweeter, but has a durable bass driver.

i still use the DM2s there are really musical but as with all old speakers get the crossovers overhauled.
Modded td160 super Thorens ol encounter arm hana sl cart, angle audio studio pro mc virtual battery phono amp with separate psi, Onix pre and mono amps, Onix CD player, Onix BWD and soap tuner. B&W dm2 speakers or super pencil 12 speakers, atlas cables, seperate mains power supply with earth spike.
