    Default FS - Consonance CD-120L Linear NOS cd player

    For sale here I have my superb Consonance CD-120L cd player.

    It has a lovely brushed aluminium finish on which there are only very minor marks that you need to look very hard to see.

    Naturally it is in full working condition. It features a non-oversampling DAC and dispenses with a digital filter. For me it’s a sound that you can enjoy for long periods of listening - you will never find it brash or fatiguing yet it extracts all the energy and detail you need from a recording.

    It also has switchable frequencies 44.1 and 88.2kHz via the remote control that is machined from aluminium billet.

    ** NB - replacement KSS-213Q transports are readily and cheaply available if you want to stash a couple away for the future! **
    If you don’t know this machine there are a number of great reviews out there on the web - e.g.

    http://www.tnt-audio.com/sorgenti/opera_cd120_e.html
    http://www.soundstage.com/revequip/opera_cd120.htm

    “A sound that is detailed without being obvious, rich without being syrupy. But the thing that’s really special, the thing that makes the CD-120 sound so reminiscent of good analogue is its effortless sense of musical flow, the way it integrates its colour and detail into a single, coherent musical whole. Performances are so expressive, they simply make so much sense, that they become seductive, involving and compelling all at once – exactly as they should. Not so long ago you couldn’t achieve this level of performance from CD at any price, let alone well under four figures.”
    hifi+ Jimmy Hughes

    The original instruction booklet is included as pictured.

    This great player isn't getting the use it deserves as I'm nearly exclusively using vinyl now, so I would like this to go to a good home.

    Current RRP is £995. My price is £349.

    Whilst I do have the original box it is collection only from Highgate, N6 as I don't want to risk courier delivery.

    Alternatively I will be in Manchester M20 from Feb 10-16 and can bring the machine with me for collection.

    Thank you for looking and if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.

    I've had one of these for about ten years and can vouch for everything that the seller (and Jimmy Hughes) has said about the sound quality of this machine. Mine is going nowhere !

    NOS = Non-oversampling (I would have thought).
