Odd day yesterday. Very windy. Sleet to begin with, turning to hail. Sounded like someone throwing gravel at the windows. Then a sunny spell. Thought I would take advantage to nip down the Chinese for my tea. Needless to say got a couple of hundred yards and it started again. Only this time it was miniature hail. Tiny little balls if it. That was just before dark so it froze and everywhere now has a coating of it.

Had 5 or 6 hours of sunshine yesterday, and then it started to snow heavily.

Bright and sunny so far this morning.

Gale-force winds and heavy rain. Lovely.
